High Def Student Conference 2022 was an event to remember. Each year, this level of production brings a sense of awe and wonder into the worship center for student of all ages, and this year was no different. With a focus on “Verified” faith, the speakers, hosts, and worship leaders all leaned into the vision of wanting students to own their faith and empower them to live an authentic life through both their inward and outward actions. As the production director for the conference, I managed the tech, worship, and creative team, and continuously casted vision for each session and moment. I also served as the main contact for questions and concerns regarding the production and programming and handled necessary crisis management all weekend long.

Speaker Stuart Hall of Orange Leaders and ReThink Group captivated students each session and played a big piece in creating this empowering environment. 2022 brought a new student team structure for games and passion projects. “Tribe Wars” was developed as a way to create community amongst the students and build a sense of comradery all weekend long. All games and interactive moments that we designed were centered around the different tribe teams. In planning the event, I developed and wrote all of the content for each acting/host moment and booked tribe leaders and actors for each session. This also included creative directing and coaching them alongside the hosts in rehearsals to create a contagious energy during each session.

2022 also took the production outside of the worship center by creating a unique atrium experience and we booked DJ team for the entire weekend to bring the hype in every spare moment in and out of sessions. With the collaboration of a phenomenal speaker, professional technical team, energetic hosts, and intentional worship leaders we set the tone for a captivating spiritual experience for hundreds of students while providing them with fun and engaging memories that will keep them coming back each year.
